Cruisair

Cruisair from Taylor Made Environmental, the world's leading supplier of air conditioning, refrigeration and other products for the recreational and commercial marine industry markets. Cruisair makes a wide range of cooling & heating systems for all sizes of boats, both recreational and commercial. Airon provides sales, service and warranty services for Cruisair

StowAway Units

Self-Contained systems are ideal for smaller boats in which engine room space is limited. All of the system components, except for the seawater pump and strainer, are built on a single low-profile chassis. It is normally installed under a berth, in a closet or any other out-of-the-way location. Air is carried through flexible ducts to air grills for discharge into one or more compartments. StowAway systems are easy to install in an existing boat, since the unit doesn't take up much space and it can be installed without disrupting the boat's interior. StowAways are available in 5,000-24,000 BTU capacities.

DX Remote Systems

Cruisair remote systems provide the greatest flexibility for boats 36 feet and up. The condensing unit, which includes the compressor and other mechanical components, is placed in the engine room. Only the compact, quiet cooling/heating unit goes in the living compartment, where it is normally built into the cabinet work. Cruisair offers a broad range of cooing/heating units for installation behind bulkheads, under bunks, in narrow lockers, beneath a flybridge and other locations. You can run several cooling/heating units from a single remote condensing unit.

Tempered Water

Cruisair tempered water systems are built for larger yachts and commercial craft. These two-stage systems use circulated water as a heat transfer medium. The warmed or cooled fluid is piped through a closed loop from the tempering unit in the engine room to any number of air handling units throughout the boat. Cruisair's unique reverse-cycle design provides very efficient heating, even in relatively cold seawater temperatures, in many cases eliminating the need for separate heating systems. Cruisair offers a complete line of single-compressor and staged multi-compressor systems from 1.5 tons up, utilizing state-of-the-art compact modular tempering units.

Cruisair Refrigeration Systems

Cruisair Refrigeration Systems may be designed to perform as refrigerators or freezers in custom applications.

The KR series cabinet condensing unit is designed to work in small refrigeration and freezer systems. The condensing unit works in conjunction with evaporator plates installed in an insulated box. Box temperatures between-18 degrees and 5 degrees C can be achieved with the proper application.

The condensing unit is housed in a fiberglass enclosure which can be mounted on a bulkhead or a horizontal shelf. Both 115VAC and 230VAC models are available. Typically the KR unit is installed in the engine room or other space, with copper refrigerant tubing connecting the evaporator section.

SMXir Keypad/Display with Remote Control

The SMXir keypad/display operates with an optional remote control just like your TV or VCR. You can adjust temperature and fan settings from the other side of the cabin. The SMXir features a convenient front-door enclosure and an attractive shape - square size for mounting flexibility. It still has all the "bells and whistles" you expect from Cruisair's SMX controls - with automatic humidity control, diagnostics and much more. And it works with the SMX Modem introduced by Cruisair in 1998.The SMXir display is designed for use with direct-expansion and tempered-water cooling and heating systems.
